The “Program Information Videos” project involved creating a series of short videos to provide viewers with quick and engaging overviews of programs offered by Sinclair College. These videos, approximately 1 minute in length, aimed to deliver easily understandable information about each program, including a brief description, potential job titles, salaries, and the types of skills students acquire. Featuring b-roll footage from Sinclair marketing’s video team showcasing actual Sinclair students, each video concluded with a QR code linking to the program’s landing page on the college’s website via a UTM encoded vanity URL.
One of the main challenges was condensing comprehensive program information into concise, 1-minute videos while maintaining clarity and engagement. Additionally, coordinating with Sinclair marketing’s video team to obtain suitable b-roll footage and ensuring alignment with the college’s branding and messaging posed logistical challenges. Integrating QR codes seamlessly into the videos to drive traffic to the college’s website required strategic placement and effective encoding.
In this project, my role encompassed conceptualizing, scripting, and directing the creation of the program information videos. Working closely with Sinclair marketing’s video team, I provided guidance on content requirements and collaborated on the selection of b-roll footage to complement the program descriptions. Additionally, I oversaw the integration of QR codes at the end of each video, ensuring they were prominently displayed and correctly encoded with UTM parameters for tracking purposes.

The concise format and visually appealing content captured viewers’ attention and provided valuable insights into the programs offered. By featuring actual Sinclair students in the b-roll footage, the videos offered an authentic glimpse into student life at the college, further enhancing their appeal. The inclusion of QR codes facilitated seamless navigation to the college’s website, driving traffic and potentially increasing program inquiries and applications.
